Shipping bout 20% done

Hello backers
We have shipped about 20% of the orders and are working our way through the next batch.
To answer some comments:
The threading is what it is being metal and it will never be as smooth or easy if you compare it with metal and plastic etc or machine/milled (which would make the flask cost around $500). We've tested it extensively and it works well. We've had an overwhelming positive feedback (not just via comments) and only a few complaints so I think it's pretty much confirmed the designs work and are good. Like with anything, there will always be people who are hard to please and will always try to find a flaw - or argue there is one.
There is a slant when the lid is screwed into the mug but it does not affect anything and there is no leaking. You may need to use the extra triangle gaskets instead however to be sure as not all flasks were fitted with the latest triangle gasket.
We've been using the mug quite a lot with baby food and I have had the lid get quite tight on the mug when unscrewing after a while as you get negative pressure as the content cools. If the lid can get a little stuck - just give it a gentle prise with a knife/fork/whatever and it's comes off very easily.
We were not able to include straps as I wrote in an earlier update as the project was (is) over budget and I had to use personal funds to ensure it ships to you all.
Yes for some there will be custom charges, we've declared just material costs on the value to reduce this as much as possible but can't do anything else. As a backer myself I've had to pay import charges many times. Once again, this is KickStarter, not local Amazon.co.uk/.de / whatever.
We forgot to push the tracking notification emails out from BackerKit - apologies. This has now been done and you'll be getting your tracking emails promptly now.
We are shipping in backer order so if you backed in IGG you may need to wait another 2 weeks or so.
If you have a damaged item on arrival - please email [email protected] with images of the damage, backer no, address and we'll ship you a replacement.
We don't have the capacity to reply to all comments but do read all of them.
If you absolutely must have a reply - write to [email protected] and don't message via KickStarter please.
Many thanks for your continued support,
Mike Dewhirst

Hello backers!
All good thing come to those who wait.
We have completed our 3d quality inspection and bar minor issues have passed testing.
So we're going to start shipping week after next!
It's an extremely busy time for us so please keep the comments and messages to the bare minimum and truly critical. Don't ask for close ups of the left bottom part of the mug or a colour neutral shot of the brown version. Please. Just wait for the product.
If you need to change your address or add more flasks or mugs - easiest way is to email [email protected] and ask them to do it for you.
We had some issues with addresses and phone numbers and will be in touch with those whose details we could not automatically process. (In case you were curious - we had to write a piece of custom software to translate all numbers into international format - 617.. to +1617, 07747 to +447747 and so on, as well as remove illegal characters and other problem formatting)
Shipping will take a few weeks so pleas be patient. You will all get emails confirming dispatch. If you do not by the end of September - contact us. Please do not contact us before then if you don't yet have your flask.
We will also be getting in touch with the bulk backers who get their logo engraved to confirm the logo. This will be done week after next.
The final sprint to the finish line is here!

P.s. yes we will be shipping spare gaskets and o-rings. No we will not be including straps but may offer these later at extra cost. The budget unfortunately simply did not allow this.
Production finished, "bug fixing"

Hello backers!
Production finished about 2 weeks ago and we've been testing and testing and testing.
A third party inspection company has been to the factory several times now to check and re-check the units.
300 units were tested during 2 site visits. The samples were very carefully picked at random from boxes at the front, back, top and bottom of stacks.
Tests included heat retention, drop tests to see if anything was lose and came off, leak tests and many other.
Some small problems were found like small dents in some lids sides, some noise in a couple of the tested mugs.
Nothing major was found.
However, because we're obsessed with quality, we asked the factory to re-inspect every flask, fix any problems and then we'll do one last inspection next week. If all OK, we'll start shipping.
We're also seeing some problems with gathered data, which we had to write a piece of software to fix (as going through just under 2000 entries manually was not an option. This work was finished today.
So stay tuned, we're close now.
You can help by not piling on the pressure and sending comments and messages asking what's going on. You can see we're not doing a runner with your money, so please just wait and you'll have your flask soon!
Here are some inspection photos.
